The Design Unfiltered Conclave – Bathinda Edition 2026, hosted at the Grand Mirage, brought together some of the most influential voices from the architecture and interior design (AID) fraternity for a day of compelling conversations, creative exchange, and celebration of design excellence. More than just an industry gathering, the conclave unfolded as a vibrant platform exploring “What challenges do architects face in tier 3 towns and the Next Gen Villas”
Curated by Rupinder Ahuja (Sahyog Architects & Interior Designers), and Praveen Goyal, Goyal Associates (Sunam), the Bathinda edition reflected the spirit of the Design Unfiltered platform creating meaningful dialogue while spotlighting visionary contributions shaping the built environment.
A defining moment of the evening was the presentation of the Lifetime Achievement Award to Anmol Pupneja, Design Innovation & Constructions honouring his enduring legacy and influence on the architectural landscape. The Masterstroke Award was conferred upon Lakhwinder Jaura, Jaura Architects for his progressive design language and innovative architectural approach.
Among the most engaging sessions was Design Baithaki, centred on a theme deeply rooted in Unfiltered Next Gen Villas: Big Revolution beyond Metros. Moderated by Karan Arora(Arcline Design Studios), the discussion brought together architects Rajinder Bawa, Lakhwinder Jaura, Umang Chanana, Vikas Bansal, Vandana Yadav & Munish Bansal.
The conclave also hosted an insightful Unfiltered Dialogue on navigating the challenges of working in small towns, moderated by Hridey Jaggi (Studio J.M.C). Architect Naveet Garg, Garg Associates Bathinda, Neeraj Mittal, Mittal Architects, Tappa, Rohit Singla, Naveen Bansal, Bansal Associates, Darshpreet K Sangha, D9 Design Studio, Bathinda, Rahul Bharaj, RB Interiors, Muktsar shared perspectives on challenges of working in small towns?
Adding a creative dimension to the event was Keynote Speaker, a thought-provoking session by Vivek P P, De Earth Architects. The session celebrated regional design philosophies while highlighting how different cities interpret architecture through their own cultural and contextual lens.
The conclave also recognised exceptional projects through the Design Unfiltered Awards Punjab 2026, honouring outstanding work across residential, hospitality, institutional, retail, healthcare, corporate, and weekend home architecture and interiors projects that stood out for their innovation, contextual sensitivity, and refined design thinking.
