Where Art shapes Architecture

We capture and communicate architecture through films, photography, and digital storytelling helping design ideas reach a wider audience.

In the past, I was always fascinated by art. The art that allowed me to scribble with those crayons without thinking much. And must I admit that those colours sometimes also reached the walls, the furniture and other unsmeared articles of the house. And what followed thereafter was my mother’s cajoled scolds and rants in the evening, often with herself or others. Another introduction was through clay modelling, which I did early in my childhood, mostly turning the clay into objects of nothingness. But somehow, those odd-looking inanimate clay creatures became a way of being for me. No wonder my stints became elongated wherever I had clay and other creative things in my vicinity.

Precisely, this is how my brush with creativity started a little early in life. And then, as life passed, those strands of occasional creativity also kept falling out of my hands. Paint brushes, canvas, those were just there for the sake of it — the education system we had back in those days, compelled most of us to remain unaware of the potential, creative soul in us. Big statement, I know, but let me make it today. And then the rise of the turmoil — big books and heavier bags took over, and life became somewhat colourless and mundane.

But not all were as unlucky as many others. Yes, I am talking about the names in the art industry who must’ve chosen to live a different life than me. Now, before this piece becomes more like a personal grudge-talking rant, let me share why I am writing this piece.

Well, my dear readers, I am here to gladly inform you about this specific, niche section we’re launching this April (2026) on ARTS. Yes, fulfilling my long-lost dream and team’s aspirations (after they’ve met and understood many of these art-oriented souls) – we at Design Unfiltered are going to call this section Art UnFiltered. I think this will be the debut of Fine Arts with us – under the realm of which we’ll be featuring all that looks fine and artsy.

And perhaps, this is where it all finds new meaning. Art UnFiltered, as a new section on our website, is not just about showcasing art—it’s about creating a space where creativity feels accessible, honest, and unrestrained. It brings together voices that are seasoned and emerging, polished and raw, all coexisting within a shared intent to express. With this, we aim to build a platform that doesn’t just present art, but engages with it—through stories, perspectives, and the journeys that shape it. As we begin this chapter, we invite you to explore, reflect, and maybe even rediscover your own connection with creativity—because sometimes, all it takes is one unfiltered moment to begin again.
