Design Unfiltered has a thing for gorgeousness. No wonder we keep on showcasing sheer beauty in the form of these powerful, “prettier than thou” projects. Unearthed and sometimes, unheard of, these designs couldn’t see the light of day yet. But we, at DU, have vowed to make these small-city and often small-scale projects famous by not only featuring them but also adoring them from a distance. Here’s one… well, two of such spectacles. Have a look to be lost in their splendidness… Ready?

Contemporary Haven: It is a modern architectural retreat that seamlessly blends design and functionality. Centered around a tranquil courtyard with a soothing fountain, the home invites natural light and ventilation through expansive windows, fostering peace and energy efficiency. Its open floor plan creates fluid, comfortable living spaces, while minimalist interiors highlight elegance and calm. Indian granite stone unifies the exterior and interior, ensuring visual continuity and durability. Strategically designed facades offer complete privacy from adjacent buildings, especially the neighboring Judicial Officers’ residences, and shield against harsh southwestern sun. With its focus on light, space, and privacy, Contemporary Haven enriches everyday living—offering a serene, thoughtfully designed environment that nurtures well-being.

Villa Verde: This project embodies modern minimalism infused with warmth, where double-height volumes and natural light craft an airy, expansive ambiance. Clean lines, neutral palettes, and tactile contrasts of stone, wood, and glass define the living spaces, while sculptural accents and curated furniture add sophistication without sacrificing comfort. At its heart are indoor courtyards and lush green inserts, seamlessly linking interiors to nature and enhancing the home’s microclimate. Floor-to-ceiling glazing frames the dining and lounge areas, offering serene views and abundant daylight. Balancing elegance with functionality, Villa Verde celebrates openness, refined materials, and the timeless beauty of contemporary architecture rooted in light and nature.
