DU is known for its UnFiltered conversations. During one such conversation with a designer we found out the love and admiration he had for residential projects. He said “A house is where people spend the happiest times of their lives (ideally, at least)” he jokes. “Therefore it becomes compulsory for us designers and architects to pay more attention to these residences which might help in adding to those smiles”, he added with a calm assertiveness.
We think the team at Hiren Patel Architect Design was also thinking similarly while designing this residential masterpiece – the Anand House. It seamlessly integrates architecture, interior design, and landscaping, creating a harmonious and luxurious living experience.
Every house is a home to so many personalities which will evolve over time. Therefore, each space has been thoughtfully planned for future adaptability—for instance, the younger son’s bedroom is connected to his daughter’s room with a private courtyard, allowing it to be transformed into a lounge as the family’s needs evolve. Similarly, every bedroom features its own private courtyard, enhancing the indoor-outdoor living experience. The eldest son’s suite on the first floor enjoys a stunning landscape view, fostering a serene ambiance.

Another highlight of the house is the infinity swimming pool on the first floor, strategically positioned to offer exclusive privacy to the clients while ensuring separation from service areas. The signature staircase is a true sculptural masterpiece crafted from Sheesham wood, adding warmth and artistic depth to the space.
The double-height dining area enhances the feeling of openness and grandeur, making it the heart of the home where the family gathers in an expansive yet intimate setting.
As we retrace our steps to the other side of the foyer, we arrive at the pooja space, where intricately handcrafted marble elements create a sense of quiet grandeur. Soft natural light filters through glass windows, connecting the space to nature and enhancing its serene, almost ethereal quality.
At the rear of the house, a gym, bar, office, and an additional lounge offer spaces for both work and leisure, balancing everyday needs with moments of escape.
More than just a house, it is a home where nature becomes the invisible thread, binding spaces, moments, and experiences into a harmonious whole. Nge, and a home theatre – each designed for different ways of gathering. The formal living room feels elegant yet welcoming, with soft linen sofas, a striking wood and glass coffee table, and carefully chosen décor that adds character. Large windows bring in natural light and offer wide views of the landscape, making the outdoors feel like part of the space. The informal lounge, on the other hand, is warm and relaxed, with deep, comfortable seating, textured rugs.
